Together: We are one voice for everyone operating and supporting prize-led fundraising through lotteries and competitions.

Members of the Council are expected at all time to be fully compliant by acting within theguidelines laid down within the 2005 Gambling Act and the Gambling Commission LicenceConditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP).  

Paying regard to the guiding principles of the Act and its licensing objectives:The licensing objectives.

In this Act a reference to the licensing objectives is a reference to the objectives of:

  1. Preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated withcrime or disorder or being used to support crime.
  2. Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way.
  3. Protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited bygambling.

Members are required to abide by the guiding principles whether they be licensed by theGambling Commission or not.LCCP can be viewed, downloaded or printed from the Gambling Commission website here.

Competition operators will be expected to ensure their competitions are legal, honest and truthful complying with the advertising authorities CAP an BCAP codes where applicable.
